From prehistory to history, right up to your history

Man has reasoned in images since prehistoric times, even before inventing the alphabet and writing. Through cave-wall paintings, he handed down in a simple but functional way all the information necessary for the success of the hunt, and already then recounted his skill as a hunter with shapes and colours. The first maps also represented a thousand adventures through visual information, and encouraged the discovery of new lands, villages, coasts and cities, crossing the seas or rivers. Even today, road signs, combining intuitively recognisable symbols, shapes and colours, guide us day by day to the goals we have set ourselves, to work, to leisure, to the people we meet.
